WIN SOME, LOSE SOME

As expected, Penn State recruit Kevin Haplea (TE) of Hunterdon North HS in Annadale, NJ committed to the Nittany Lions on Monday according to reports by ESPN. Haplea is the 14th PSU pledge of the 2010 class which is ranked 6th in the nation according to Rivals.com. Also, during Big Ten Media Day on Monday, Joe Paterno reported that the playing status of potential defensive starters Abe Koroma (CB) and A.J. Wallace (DL) as questionable for the upcoming season. According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Paterno said that both had cleared out their lockers and are unlikely to return to the team this year due to off the field personnel issues. This latest news comes on the heals of the dismissal of back-up wide receiver James McDonald last week due to drunken driven charges.
