  • Rutgers has begun selling partial season ticket packages to offset the slow response by fans to acquire newly available season tickets resulting from the 11,000 seat expansion set to open on September 7th against Cincinnati. Although the move is a reflection of the current difficult economic times the school did announce however that 90% of existing season tickets have been renewed for the 2009 season.
  • Penn State continues to roll, picking up another verbal commitment from Alex Kenny of State College, PA. The 6' 0" 194 lb Kenny, a four star WR prospect according to Rivals.com with big play potential chose the Nittany Lions over more the a dozen other offers on July 15th according to the Altoona Mirror.
  • Can Syracuse make a serious run at replanting the recruiting flag in the New York Metropolitan Rob Welsh of St. Anthony's in Mellville, NY the 'Cuse now has six commits in it's '09 class from a New York boro or Long Island.
